This very hardy hybrid has a very large crown and sterile fronds that are 50% larger than its native parent, the Ostrich fern. It creates a tropical look wherever planted. Edible fiddleheads are a bonus - but don't forget to cook thoroughly! Grows 4-7' tall with a 2-3' spread. 

About Matteuccia: An easy fern to grow, Matteuccia spreads freely without being invasive. If one shows up in a wrong spot, it can be easily moved. A real boon to the woodland shade garden, it looks attractive on its own or combined with other shade loving plants.
